Schweinshaxe is good for lunch (2016)

Very tasty but very empty for the good location right on the Schlossplatz. Prices are okay, but if you want to eat cheap you should choose something else :) It tastes good, however.

Our last evening in Stuttgart... after taking pictures of some buildings and considering the sticky weather we decided to have dinner here. Our German friendly waitress was great! She spoke English to us and we could talk a bit and share some laughter. Ribs were soft and enough for a child of 12. The salad I chose was big and had a variety of vegetables, ham and chicken.

Absolutely clear selection in the menu, that speaks for good quality. The dish or the dishes where we ordered were also excellent. This is how home-style cuisine should taste. Prices absolutely great and nothing to complain about. There are restaurants in Stuttgart that are far from being of such quality and are more expensive. I can recommend the restaurant without hesitation and will be happy to come back again and again.

With a nice cozy atmosphere. The food was very tasty. The staff was friendly and competent.

Normally very good food and service. This time the food was dry. Since everyday is normally well here i will give 4 stars. This isn't a Michelin restaurant where perfection is expected always. Plus it was close to closing but next if the same then not so nice.

service is unagreable, and the meat is not good. Je suis un peu decu. c'est plutot un resto pour les locaux allemandes. They gave us bad position close to the washroom while gave good one to ppl just behind us even though they did not booked before. What is the point to treat ppl differently? vous avez pas de honte!

Good and tasty steak. Pricing is fair, quality is good. I've ordered my steak to be medium, but it came more like medium rare, which was totally fine for me since the meat was really good. And I think the chef knows best 😉 Also my rib eye steak looked more like a Rumpsteak than a rib eye. But the waitress assured me, that it was rib eye. Fine for me since it really tasted very good.

As long as there is Ochs'n Willi on Schlossplatz, I come to this restaurant at regular intervals. Congratulations, the quality of the service and the food has remained at a consistently high level over the entire period. I can only recommend this restaurant and will continue to eat regularly in the future.

Food was delicious but too little sauce in the chanterelle cream, and we had to wait 20 minutes for that. Otherwise friendly courteous staff. The food was immediately there for everyone. Highly recommended!

Great place, in the center. The staff very friendly and nice. Really yummy food, albeit in generous portions. However, I have seen more than one customer ask for the doggy bag, so I would say it is a custom of the place. In the photo "ein Münchener in Himmel": pork and cream on the largest Kartoffel I've ever seen in my life ... probably grown by the restaurateur himself ;-) Straconsigliato! We will definitely be back!

This is how the PIG HOUSE works! Huge pieces, super delicious, nice in the fresh air right next to Schlossplatz and Königstraße, pleasantly quiet despite the central location, super nice staff, Corona rules are adhered to, the big knobs are the huge knuckles! Always crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, come extremely quickly, however they manage it, simply the measure of all things! You can't get better, bigger and crispier knuckles anywhere, for years, almost for decades, Ochs'n Willi has been the number one knuckle! The blackhead's duck was delicious too! Look at the pictures! The duck "PAN" looks like a children's plate next to my leg!

Staff very friendly on the phone. Was able to get a table on the terrace. Very spacious restaurant with a nice outdoor area. We were warmly welcomed and brought to our table. Our waitress Ms. Schmidt was super friendly! We ordered and the food came very quickly even though it was really busy. It was incredibly delicious! If we are in the area we will definitely come back! Price-performance ratio great.

If you want to try German cuisine than this place for you

Fantastic pig knuckle! Crispy outside and very tender inside, toasted very precisely! The size is really huge and truly deserved the price! Small size of salad is surely enough if you order the main course, also the taste of salad is seasoned or you could call it “sour”, fitting the pork perfectly mixing in your mouth. All in all, I would highly recommend and enjoy!

It was my first time with my mother at the Ochs'n Willi and unfortunately I have to say that I am totally disappointed. Unfortunately we had to look for a place ourselves and were only assigned to a table after we were totally unsure for more than 5 minutes whether the tables were reserved or free. Then we had to wait no less than 20 minutes to be able to order. Even when we asked the waiter whether we were allowed to order, they only said that another colleague was responsible. But without paying any attention to us, she went to and past us several times until we unfortunately had to get up and left the restaurant. It must be said that the restaurant was manageable at this point in terms of the number of guests.

Good and relatively cheap restaurant. Nice and attentive service. There are also good lunch menus. Nice terrace. Good location in the center of Stuttgart.

the atmosphere and the interior ambience is really amazing, the food is tasty also, but the thing that I have noticed is the way they serve the dishes is not so professional comparing to the price, no food decorations, no extra little side dishes, no sauces with potato wedges, normal Cutlery set.

My sister is vegetarian and really liked her meals here, loads of several vegetarian choices as well. Liked just how speedily the service was, will be coming back again. my bro and sis recommended it to me, wasn't unfulfilled, spectacular food and good price also. The food was really excellent, couldn't believe how astounding the costs were!. Waiter catered to my each and every requirements, would definitely highly recommend.

Good plain food. There are daily specials, but no real lunch menu. The portions are just too powerful! The potato salad is world class, the spaetzle tastes like in a hospital. Service brisk and polite. Ambience extremely cozy.

This was a great little place we stumnled upon by mistake. We tried the small mobtezuma ri s portion, which was surprisingly big and the turkey stake with mushrooms and brocoli. Both were very tasty and very well sized for the price. We also noticed the place was dog friendly. Staff was also friendly and spoke English well, which made it easy to order the food and organise the payment.

It was really good the food, especially the Ochs'n Willi Pfand, and the waitress was very polite! A must when in Suttgart downtown.

What an incredible surprise. This restaurant was great, with a cozy German atmosphere and a very friendly and helpful staff. They have several options for typical German dishes and beers (and also vegan options). I really enjoyed the tasty food, which was served in a good portion at a reasonable price. I was lucky enough to get a table without a reservation as the place was crowded, so I definitely recommend making a reservation here (or at least a call) before going. Anyway, it's a mandatory restaurant in Stuttgart.
